I don't know how many people actually dislike it, probably fewer than the ones who prefer it.
NO! Smokers would no longer go to that place and if the smoker has friends who don't smoke that go with him then you lost some non-smokers also.
Exactly. This gives the "Smoking allowed bars an unfair advantage.

I've frequented bars for years, and the one thing I hate is the smoke. And if there is any non-smoker who likes a smokey bar, either they're lying, or there's something wrong. Its the same in America, I've been there. No non-smoker in their right mind would prefer a smokey bar.

Then soon they will cut out smoking in New Jersey. Then the world becomes a healthier place, and all bars are on a level playing field.

How is it screwing over smokers, when its helping them, because it is in their best interest to quit. And who cares if its unfair for smokers. I find it incredibally unfair to walk into a public establishment, and have smoke blown in my face.

Most of all, it will make public places more appealing to the overwhelming majority of non-smokers. Its beyond me how educated people still take up such a stupid habit, when it kills you, its expensive, and harms the people around you. And yes non-smokers avoid smoke ridden places because it is UNHEALTHY, and disgusting. Or like you said, like a plague.
