I used to play games all the way to the end and just stop because I didn't want to beat them. I've stopped now, though.

Me too. I left Xenogears without beating it for, like...2 years, but, hey, now I'm not so scared...I just go there, kick the final boss' behind and, if I'm lucky, it's done; if I'm not, I try again without being afraid of my possibly cruel destiny...
