quick question about great gospal

so im on my third time playing this game. ive done all the sidequests, and just about everything you can do, except one big thing that i just realized, i never tried to get great gospal.
right now in the game i just got the tiny bronco and am headed to the tempel of the ancients. my question is, how do u get to the sleeping old man? i cant bring the buggy over to that continent, and the tiny bronco cant go up the waterfalls near the river by the sleeping old man's house. can some give me some heads up on how to get over there?

You can take the buggy over to the first continent. Drive it into Costa del Sol, and you will actually enter the town. Return to Junon via the Cargo Ship. When you leave Junon you will have the buggy with you. Since it can cross rivers at shallows, you will be able to reach the Old Man's cave. Once you have obtained the Mythril, you can drive the buggy into Junon and return to Costa del Sol.

hey i just got to the sleeping old man, and i had 288 battles fought and he gave me a bolt ring? wtf?

To receive the Mythril, you also need the total number of battles to be odd. You should be able to get it at 299.

To receive the Mythril, you need the last two numbers in the total amount of battles to be equal. Examples: 299, 255, 233, 99, 11.

Great Gospel is like a total recovery, plus invulnerablility for a short time. I got this Limit Break for Aeris a few times and once I used it 3 times before she died.

It's pretty cool. But for the early game, I prefer her Fury Brand anyways.
