none of the bosses were hard for me, up to the point where i am in the game.The second seymour is way easy, i beat him in 12 turns tops.

my hardest battle would have to have bin against omega wepon
i beat omega in 10 turns cuase i can hit 99,999 but tht was still the hardest bttle for me

That bastard Seymore in mt. gagazet. I started the whole game over and over and over again cause he did that cross-cleave-thingy just when i was about to slice him down and then my whole trio was dead. yunalesca is also a tough one, but seymore in gagzet is DEFINETLY the most annoying!
i never died on that boss. i always hit the thing that drains his life (another blank. i need to get out more.) and healed. it was easy. it prevented most of his big attacks, but when he did manage cross cleave, i usually tossed in rikku or yuna and either healed or tossed some al bhed(whatever it is.) potions.
but the hardest one for me was probably yunalesca at the time. i hadnt trained enough at the time so i had to customize some armor and beat her just fine after that.
I would say Yunalesca. I'm kind of surprised that so many people are saying they couldn't imagine fighting her without Holy, as I've never had Holy when I fought her, and on my current run through, I was a whole circular section of the sphere grid away from it at the time. In fact I don't think I even had Curaga when I fought her. The fight's tough mainly because of the delicate balancing act involved with her third form. You have to keep at least one person zombied to survive her instant death move, but then you can't heal that person/people, so if she kills your zombie characters, then uses her death attack, you're screwed. It can be tricky even if you know what you're doing, but sometimes you do get lucky and beat her the first time. I should probably clarify that it's her third form that's tough though; her first and second forms don't really have any moves worth worrying about.
Lady Yunalesca, without a doubt. It wasn't THAT hard, but the status effects were WAY too annoying...

vivi22, i didnt have holy. all i did was customize armor with zombieproof, and she was quite easy.
also, the VERY FIRST time i played the game, i didnt level up enough, and when you fought the wyrm thing on the airship, my wakka did like 200 dmg, and lulu only knew first level spells. that is technically the hardest one on my first time playing it, but once again, i didnt know hwo to use the sphere grid.
on my second game, it was extremely easy when i actually listened to the sphere grid tutorial. lol.
Yeah, I know you can customize armour for zombie or death prrof and the battle will pretty much be a breeze, but most people won't have armour with those abilities the first time through, and may not have the items they need to customize them, which means the battle will be tough the first time around. However with proper preperation, no battle is going to be tremendously difficult.Originally Posted by Aidan

a little thing that most people dont know.... is keep rikku ready to steal from the monks. a candle of life can be easily stolen, which is also used to customize zombie proof. once in a while, you will get purifying salt, and if you have 30 of those, you can customize no encounters. so, its pretty hard to get stuck in that point of the game. it is, however, a very good place to level up at that point in the game.

Yeah, but again, unless you're going nuts having Rikku steal every battle and do a lot of leveling there, you'll likely never learn that without a guide on your first playthrough. Like I said, any boss is easy if you're not properly prepared for it, but most people won't be the first time through. Like I said anyway though, you need people with zombie status for her battle anyway. One person with zombie proof would be okay to help prevent anything like Curaga bringing swift zombie death, but you want at least two zombies at any given time.
i did fine the whole battle with my whole party zombieproof. and as for a guide, i stole from every monster atleast once my first time through. it juust happens when i looked for zombie proof, i had been stealing a few before. so i just continued it.
