    Okay, I had to post this, even though it makes no great contribution to the forum. But I was so shocked to see this.

    Squall
    "The reason why you couldn't find me was because we haven't promised yet."

    Rinoa
    "Promised...?"

    Squall
    "I'll be waiting for you. If you come here, you'll find me. I promise."

    Rinoa
    "I'll be here, too. It's a promise!"
    "Thanks, Squall!"

    I was so shocked to see this, because I have seen the starting so many times, WOW. IT WAS SO GOOD OF A FEELING! I mean, you get it.


    Did anyone get a similar reaction?

    i didnt think it was shocking, as much as it just made the beginning make a little more sense.

    Definitely my favorite.

    Although I think I got more enjoyment out of FF1 way back in the day of the NES. Entirely because I was a kid though.

    But anyways, now FF8 is my favorite game ever. Hands down.
