but id call him an expiriment but the expiriment gave him some vampiric aspect but also have him the power to change his form.60-70%human and 30-40% expirimented shapeshifter.the only reason that they consider him a vampire is his coffin and the way he dresses.so if you think about it he is not a vampire at all.
EDIT:on second thought vincent can only shape shift because of the cells implanted in him which makes him about 99%human1%monster.

Although his apperance, sleeping habits, and shapeshifting abilities are certainly traits he has in common with vampires, there is no evidence that he drinks blood.

Less importantly, he can tolerate water and sunlight with no adverse effects. Heck he can even fight underwater! Also there is no demonstration that he has an aversion to garlic, which are traditional weaknesses of vampires.

It is clear that he isn't entirely human, as mentioned in previous posts. He even comments 'I'm getting less human' when he learns Chaos. I wonder he's talking physically or psychologically.

One thing I'm wondering is: did he receive Jenova cells? I say so since they're the only thing in the game that grant shapeshifting, as we've seen (SPOILER)with the false Tifa in Nothern Crater.
Also (SPOILER)he's been revived by Hojo, who shot him dead in the Nibelheim mansion (I think it was in Ehrgeiz they say he actually died?), and I guess Jenova cells with their vicious vitality are the only thing that can do that. What do you think?

(SPOILER)In all fairness, that form of Tifa was an astral projection. Notice that it didn't actually physically interact with anything, the same as the Sephiroth form that was speaking to Cloud in the Northern Crater. Unlike the earlier forms of Sephiroth (which were JENOVA's body in his form on two occasions, and pieces of JENOVA's body in his form on a few other occasions), those were just projections.

Anyway, (SPOILER)it's difficult to determine what Hojo did to him as we're really not offered any indication, and the transformations Vincent undergoes are much different from other JENOVA transformations, but it is certainly a possibility. The matter of him having died and come back to life is certainly a good case for JENOVA Cell injection, as both Lucrecia and Sephiroth were particularly resilient to death as a result of their JENOVA Cells.

I'd heard he was a vampire but I didn't think it was right. Sure there's the coffin thing and the cape and the fact that Vincent Valentine sounds UBER cool in a Translyvanian accent, but it just doesn't add up. I think he's just supposed to be... not entirely human, like most of the people in FF7 it would seem.
