You start at frozen Ridley, run right, through the Navigation Room and into the shaft with the X barrier, crouch to charge the Shinespark, jump about halfway up the shaft, shoot the door there, Shinespark horizontally into the small hallway, use the slant in the floor to recharge the Shinespark, double back into the shaft, continue to the top, and Shinespark horizontally through the X barrier.

I think I remember Metroid2002 having a demonstration of it.

    Edit: Yeah.

This isn't supposed to be a trivia question for you guys to answer, it's Lindy's turn anyway. I was just wondering, why did the programmers make items that you get before they are downloaded in the data room impossible to use?

Because Metroid Fusion was designed to completely oppose the ideas of freedom of exploration and sequence-breaking.

Because the programmers are big jerks who don't like fun.

What movement-based innovation did Metroid Zero Mission bring to the series that had never been used prior in any form, and has never been used again to this date?

The Morphing Ball Shinespark is just one form of the Shinespark, which has been around since Super Metroid.

The Power Grip was in Metroid Fusion.

The Morphing Ball shooters were used again in Metroid Prime 2.

So I'll say the Zip Lines.

This is only Metroid trivia in a fairly liberal sense, but give me a break. It's hard to think up new questions.

Q: What Virtual Boy game featured a pretty huge Super Metroid cameo? Bonus happy points if you can describe the cameo in any amount of detail.

The question is what the game is, not what the cameo is. And there's no Virtual Boy game called Kraid.

Problably that space flying game. There were only like 4 games and that space flying game is the only one I played. I image the cameo is the ship coming in and helping you out at some point.

    *wronger than wrong*

Hint: The game does in fact have kind of a sci-fi theme.

That is some badass artwork. It is now my desktop background.

    Aha!

Galactic Pinball, it had a Metroid-based mini-game when you hit certain bumpers in sequence. The idea was to blast through waves of enemies in Samus' ship and generally rawk out in space.

Thanks for making me whip out my old VB roms and painfully burn my eyes with the scorching red and green colours. >=(

That's right. It even had a crazy little rendition of the Super Metroid theme.
