hitman 2 help

i got this game 2 days ago and i'm already fond of it but i really hate not being able to heal myslef. i got the full-heal cheat for ps2 and when i use it, i c no change. code is R2, L2, Up, Down, X, Up, Down. i mean if pokemon can heal, why can't i. someone who plays the game, plz lend me your suggestion.

well, i'm new at these stealth games and i'm not very good with getting across the guards. plus the lifegauge is so small and it would definitely help to have more life or have some kind of medicine.
