Well, obviously a lot of the long time members have gotten older, but in general I think this is a young people's world and always will be.

I've spent my puberty days here, really. Joined at 11, turned 12 roughly a month later, and have been here since. The thing I hate is how everyone I was talking to was two to four years older than me, since at the time, I was the youngest member. I don't think there was a lack of respect because I was younger, but there's been many times where I felt alienated by the age difference.
So now they've grown up and gone off to college and, more or less, left this place behind. I could find people in my age, but it's just not the same without them.
In short: Unban Linus!
I've been here 10 months, and I'd have to say that I've changed a good bit over that period of time. My personality is the same, really, but over the last 10 months I've become much more involved in forums and chatrooms and that sort of thing. While I still enjoy EoFF greatly, and am excited by some of the recent changes, I enjoyed chatting and reading the opinions of older members far more than newer ones. The last 5 months haven't been as good as the first 5 were. I find it hard to see myself still here in 5 years, but, if I am, it'll certainly be for #eoff and not for the forum itself. And that really just depends on who sticks around.
I'm turning 26 this year. To say that this is an 'older' community makes no sense to me as I was 'old' when the community started, much less when I joined.
In any case, a lot of the 'oldbies' are gone, replaced by new cliques and values and drama.
Yay for internet.
You know, the ages of people around here are about the same when I first joined up. The threads are pretty much the same as they were when I first joined as well. The thing I notice is that the responses seem to be a little different. And perhaps that's just because of the way the new kids are growing up. Last year, my niece moved in with my wife and me for a while and she's only eight years younger than me. Honestly, I felt like an old man after talking to her. The younger kids are just so different from when my friends and me were their age.
So it basically makes it a bit more difficult to connect with members here because the way we think and our interests, other than FF, are mostly different.
I notice that people talk about porn a lot more around here than they used to. However I think the maturity level here has remained fairly constant over time.
Out with the old, in with the new. The more things change, the more it stays the same. The circle of life. Etc.
5 years from now, I will be Del Murder's age. And at that point the senile dementia will kick in and I will complain about silly things like pineapples.
Five years from now I'll be turning 30.
One for every time I had beaten you in fantasy by then.

I've been here for a short while and if I stay here for another 5 years, I will be extremely surprised. But...5 years is far away, so we'll see I guess.
I am coming up on 5 smurfing years and I have noticed this place has become more intolorable to the following
Fun
That is all.

It depends really. There are more younger people registering now [I think] than older people. That meaning I think there are more teenagers than people in their 20s registering on the forum. I'm thinking will the same Admins, Site Staff & Cid's Knights be here in five years. Perhaps some will retire from moderating / administrating this forum. Some will stay here. But I can't honestly say who I think will still be here in 5 years, because it's impossible. So really I don't think EoFF as a community is getting older. Perhaps just staying the same really.
Topics are always different. But you get different types of topics from the different members. So it's always different. But then you get some types of people who like the same thing so topics are made again. But there are millions of things to talk about.. No, billions. So there's always something to be talked about, it's just the case of someone making a topic about it. Some people will make topics that some people think towards it "Gosh, why didn't I think of that?!" & so on. Plus people always steal topics from other forums so there's more possibilty there will be different topics.
As for attitudes of members, well, some members become more mature [Like me] than they were when they first registered on the forum. Especially if they've just turned 13 when they register on the forum & they stay for 5 years, you'll see a big change then. Some who are agressive on the forums will perhaps get more tame & lighten down. Some members just stay the same. Attitudes of members may change because of certain things that will happen on the forum & things outside of theforum / internet whatever. So really, probably everyone will change, even if it's just something small.
I know I will be here in 5 years, unless there's another World War or something, the World blows up or I die or something like that. Nothing's going to stop me from not posting on here, unless I get banned. Which I won't, because I follow by the rules, so you can't go wrong. & I'm not going to do anything to put myself in the position of being banned. I'm wonderind if I will still be an ordianary member in 5 years or if I will be more than that..
What I think will be different about me will be how I react to things & what I know. For example, I know limited things about web making, script & complicated things that admins will know about, but I'm going to push myself to learn a lot about those things. So I will definitely have a lot more knowledge about those things & obviously loads more things. & I'll be reacting different to people because I'll be more mature. I'll also be a lot more intelligent in 5 years time. I can see myself here in 5 years time because I'll only be 22, & 22 is an age you can still come to forums at. But then again even 35-45 is a age you can still come to forums at. It just depends on if you still want to come to the forum - you might suddenly think it is a waste of time or that you can't be bothered
