Half-Life 2 or mods?

Anyone play half-life 2 or any of it's many mods?

I like HL2, HL2 Deathmatch, Counter-Strike: Source, and Day of Defeat myself.

I do. I play HL2 single player, from time to time. I also play CS: Source sometimes, as well as HL2 Capture the Flag.

I'm part of a DoD clan. I haven't played in a while partly because my computer has been acting up recently, but it's more that I've burned myself out on the Half-Life 1 mods. I can't stand looking at the crappy graphics. When I find time I usually play CS:S.

Is DOD Source out yet? I don't want to pay more money but it's such a sweet game...

It was supposed to be out in June, but the developers wanted to redo all the maps and add in HDR lighting. Now it's supposed to be released in early Fall I believe.

CS:S lags like hell on any server I play. I was really into 1.6 but my interest has waned recently. I love HL2 single player but otherwise I don't play much anymore.

Too bad it probably will not hit this year at all. I think sometime early next year...best part is that it will be free

Half-Life Source is Half-Life with the Havok engine. You aren't missing much.

Yeah I play HL2 and some mods. I recently got a new computer and haven't really gotten around to putting any of the mods I had back on. I did play Plan of Attack when it was first released, and the same with The Hunted (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called). As for original HL mods, DOD and Natural Selection are still my two favorites, with Science and Industry running a respectable third place (it's also being remade for the Source engine for any fans of it out there). I don't usually play a lot of CS, Source or original. The gameplay got stale years ago as more mods came out that were both more creative and a lot more fun.
