    Default I was wondering..

As quite a few people like to make big posts, when you quote what they are saying it is quite hard to reply when the post window is only so big. You sometimes lose track of which bit you're trying to reply back to. Do you think it would be better for people to have an 'Increase Size' & 'Decrease Size' option available above the Post Icons writing below the post window? I think it's quite a good idea, as it would make sending a reply back to a long post much easier. I was wondering who else likes the idea of this.. I have enclosed to attachments to show you what I mean. They are from another vBulletin forum, the same version as this.

Perhaps there could a vote to see who thinks this is a good idea. Though I'm sure the admins decisions over rule this, so even better, what the admins thoughts about this are. But feedback by a lot of people will make it easier.

*shrugs* I really wouldn't have any use for it, but I could see why others would. I really have no problem with just scrolling up.

The [Size] option right up there with [Font] and [Color] gets the job done well enough for me. But I only size things that I want to whisper or SHOUT.

If you're worried about not reading all that you're quoting, Notepad or Word are available to use. There's no need for a really large reply box or shrink-wrapping anything.

First up, there won't be any hacking of the forums. That's a straight no.

Second up, there won't be any changes to the style of the forums until vB3.5.0 is released and tested for EoFF. Then we might consider things. As for this suggestion in particular, I really don't see the need. If you want to make long posts and want to see a lot of stuff on your screen, use Notepad and then copy/paste.

EDIT: But apparently the option is already there. I'm really not sure what it is that you're suggesting...

EDIT: Oh, they're only there on my simplified style. Hmm. I might look into this.

I'm not suggesting that I'm just using that forum's Size thing as an example of what I mean.

I never thought about this. Thanks. Seems an easy alternative.

I had a look around the window options when I reply, but I couldn't find anything. Could it be because I'm using EoFF Classic?

Edit: I looked in all the other styles & only the simplified style seems to have it.

While this topic is open, what is the difference between Guided Mode & Enhanced Mode? Has this anything to do with it?

I actually prefer using Notepad because there have been times after making a long post or PM that something would happen to the brower and I'd lose everything that I typed. So, using Notepad is a good backup for just in case because I really hate rewriting long posts and PMs. Although it still would be nice to have an Increase/Decrease option.

I don't see any reason not to have it if it is already an option in VB. People who don't want it can ignore that button. I'd never use it though.

I assume that feature was probably added in some version of vB after we'd created the older styles but before BoB made his style, so it didn't get added to the old templates. If BoB hasn't fixed it by the time I can be bothered, maybe I'll take a look
