Yep. It's a fine arcade racer that not even EA's 'x-treme' attitude could ruin. For some reason, creating massive pile-ups on busy city streets never gets old.

I loved the first 2... but even with the awesome reviews I haven't brought myself to play this one.

The series has actually undergone a change of direction since Burnout 2. The emphasis isn't so much on precision driving as causing carnage now. It hasn't made the game any less fun, but it might bother you if you enjoyed the first two titles and were hoping for more of the same.

The destruction is cool, but I just love the amazing sense of speed and the takedown aspect. It's much more intense than the first Burnout, and as a result much more entertaining.

If you love all the pile up's in Burnout 3, then you'll love Burnout Revenge. I got to have ago on it the other day and it's make's 3 look tame in the crash department.
Not only can you take down any car on the road if you ram it from behind, race opponent or normal traffic. But once you crash, you get a crash breaker (Just like the one's used in the crash junction's in Burnout 3.) to blow the hell out of anything in the area around your car.
The A.I has also been improved with the cpu giving you a perfectly timed shunt to send you flying into another vehicle or some road side obsticle. Plus there are alternate routes to take around the track and all sorts of crazy ramp's to go flying off.

I thought the soundtrack sucked. Thankfully, the Xbox version supports custom soundtracks. I don't know if I'll buy Revenge right when it comes out, but it does look very good. Pretty soon the games are going to be too fast to handle.

Awesome crash physics.
I played burnout 3 for like a month straight,loved it! UNTIL I got to the dreaded Circuit Racer race,its like one of the last 3 races to unlock. All I can say is IMPOSSIBLE. I swear it made me want to inflict wild angry destruction on everything in my living room. Other than that and the awful soundtrack wich I still say is a form of terroroism, the game rocks!
Thank god they allow you to import your own music.

Yep, Burnout 3 is the best in the series and is pretty great, Nothing beats 6-online battle, NOTHING !
