Stat info

I noticed for the first time (my chars are in the mid forties) that when I level up my characters don't gain any stats at all unless it's from an esper bonus. So to test it I took off espers and gained another few levels and didn't get [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img] for stats, just HP and MP. Once Espers are available, do you have to use them to level stats? Or is there a certain level where you stop gaining them? If not, does anyone know of any character stat tables or info on how stat level-ups are determined? Thanks

Characters don't gain any stats at all unless they have an Esper attached. In general, HP>MP due to the Gem Box, and Speed > All other stats. The faster you go, the more you can do. Incidently as to actual "max" stats, I believe Vigor shouldn't be taken beyond 128 since after that it becomes useless in damage calculations for the most part. Magic has no definitive cut off point, but once you reach enough magic you'll start doing 9999 damage with the likes of Ultima, Fire/Bolt/Ice3 etc. Ignore Stamina, it's Borken. I wouldn't worry about stats too much. Just increase what you think needs increasing the most to optimise your characters fully.

but one thing dont overdo magic power i did that with strago and now his ultima only does about 439 damage and hes maxed lvl and maxed magic power
