We need a Street Fighter Episode IV

(SPOILER)I was thinking about the SF storyline and I came to the conclusion that a 4th SF game needs to be made. If I remember the SF storyline, Gill, the main villain was never defeated. The only one who ever got to fight him was Alex, and Alex got beaten. Ryu, for the first time in the storyline, was actually beaten, Oro beats him. People think Urien defeated Gill but Urien was defeated by Chun-Li. So basically, by the time the whole SF3 storyline ended Gill was still reigning with his empire that took over the place after Bison died.

By the time it ended Ryu went into hermitage and trained under Oro and Ken won another US Martial arts championship and is taking Sean under his wing.

Therefore, Funimizu needs to use his new company "Craft" and make Street Fighter Episode IV.

Doesn't Capcom own the rights to all the characters, though? If they made a sequel, I'd be afraid it would be just another shoddy rehash of days gone by.

Maybe they'll beg Funimizu to come back for this one project. Of course if they don't put Ryu and Ken in it it'll be VERY wrong.

The more SF games capcom releases, the bigger chance they are taken. Storyline wise, I was thinking differently to Joel, But Im usally wrong

If you guys actually read the story yes there is one, its nothing mind blowing but its there and its decent.

I thought like Capcom doesnt focus themselves on fighting games as much as they were now or something?

I'd love to see a new Street Fighter game, but I don't think we'll ever get sStreet Fighter IV. As already said it'll just be the old game's hackedup and spliced with something else.

Can you show some story related link or info on Street Fighter iii. I am really interested to know as i never knew Street fighter iii have a storyline like King of Fighters.

How does the storyline differ if you actually beat Gile or Ryu or whatever in the game. If the answer is not at all, a thread about its story belongs in The Lounge and not Gen. Gaming.

I think it would also be great if SF Episode IV showed off the battle between Ryu and Ken to find out which one was indeed the strongest.
