I'll assume Mercen-X is transfering funds to the other tournament. In any event...
The gates opened once again and the next two combatants stepped onto the field.
One was an aging man with a brown cloak and blue armor. He had a gray beard in his hands, he carried a rather formidable looking sword.
The other was a tall and muscular figure with a flowing red cloak, purple pants, and tall, brown boots. His hair was bluish white, and it fell to just under his armpits. In his hands he carried a scythe, and his face was calm and expressionless.
"Our next battle is between Magus and Orlandu! BEGIN!"
"Black Hole," Magus hissed, a massive black orb emerging from his hands and hurling itself at Orlandu.
Orlandu stood his ground and his sword glowed with white light.
"Holy Explosion!" he yelled, slashing his sword outward. A massive shockwave of holy energy charged along the ground, connecting with Magus's spell. Both spells came together with a crash and cancelled each other out.
"Lightning Stab!" Orlandu yelled, thrusting his sword at Magus. A massive blade of lightning burst from his blade, easily crossing the gap between them. Magus muttered a curse and dodged to the side, the blade taking him in the side and hurling him backwards, shocking him at the same time.
Standing, Magus raised his arm, blood trickling down his lip.
"Dark Bomb!" he yelled, hurling a gray sphere at Orlandu.
Orlandu dodged to the side, and the sphere fell to the ground beside him and exploded outward. Grunting, Orlandu was flung into the air, and landed a few feet away.
Clutching his sword, he rose to his feet.
"DARK MATTER!" Magus yelled, taking advantage of Orlandu's weakened state.
"NIGHT SWORD!" Orlandu yelled, again thrusting his blade at Magus.
A wave of dark energy burst forth, slamming into Orlandu with great force. At the same time, a lance of orange energy hurled itself from Orlandu's sword and impaled Magus.
Both combatants gasped in pain. As the attacks ended, Magus fell to the ground, clutching his stomache.
Orlandu was kneeling and breathing heavily, his sword supporting him. Gamely, he stood, sheathed his sword, and walked off the arena.
"Orlandu is the winner!"

One was a young man with short, light brown hair. He wore brown armor and carried a longsword in his hand. In the other, he held a buckler.
The other combatant was a man dressed in red, with a mask over his face and a katana in his hand.
"The next battle is Glenn and the Ninja! BEGIN!"
Glenn shot forward, his blade sweeping low at the Ninja's torso. The Ninja dove into a roll, under Glenn's blade. Coming up, he slashed at Glenn with his katana, hitting the mail and knocking Glenn backwards.
Stabalizing himself, Glenn tried a thrust this time, but the Ninja again dodged, dancing out of the way and making a sign with his hands. A fireball burst forward, hurling itself at Glenn.
Grunting, Glenn dodged to the side as the fireball shot past him. His eyes narrowing, he gripped his blade in both hands and slashed at the Ninja.
The Ninja brought his katana up and blocked the slash. Placing his other hand on the back of the blade, he began applying pressure, causing Glenn's sword to buckle.
Bunching his muscles, Glenn pushed with all his might, hurling the Ninja backwards with a mighty swing. However, this off-balanced him, allowing the Ninja a moment to make an arcane sign with his hands. A burst of ice shards shot forward, striking Glenn in the chest and face and cutting him in several areas. His face bloodied, Glenn staggered as the Ninja shot forward and bashed him in the face with his katana. Glenn grunted and fell backwards, unconcious.
