    Default Photoshop Tutorial for Xander (and anybody)

    Under the advice of Xander, I am making a photoshop tutorial. As you may be aware of the base signature I placed in the Signature Service thread. Please not also that I am using Photoshop CS and if you are using PS 7 then your buttons may slightly vary. Lets get started here is the link to signature service thread if you would like to check the result: http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showt...14#post1213314

    To start you off, I advice you have these brushes:

    Brushes – Abstract Tieskevo http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/13757258/
    Stalemateisgod http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/8276616/
    Nightsky http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11639383/

    Otherwise you will need a grunge brush, an abstract brush and some sort of starry brush but those above are the choice selection.

    Step 1: Open up a new document 500 (width)x100 (height). Click File>New and set those settings make sure the background is white.
    *inserts picture*
    Step 2: Press ‘D’ on the keyboard to make your foreground and background colours black and white.
    Step 3: filter>Render>clouds

    Step 4: Make a new layer. Load up your stalemateisgod brushes and select one. Then begin using the brushes in black. Then make new layer and Press ‘X’ making your foreground white. Then use the white brush. Repeat for 6-10 layers making sure neither black nor white becomes to prominent. I suggest using the brush with the size of 337.

    Step 5: After that’s done. Load up your abstract brush set. Make a new layer and repeat step 5 using your abstract brushes. Make sure that everytime you switch colours, make a new layer. My suggestion is using brushes 356 and 400. I suggest also using around 6 of the 356 brush and then around 10 of the 400.

    Step 6: This is where things get good. I am not sure where in 7 but in CS in the layers palette down the bottom is a selection of buttons, pick the one that’s is a half black/ half white circle and select colour balance. Now select your midtones, highlights and shadow colours and that’s that bit.

    Step 7: Load up your star brushes (nightsky or whatever you have) and select one. Make sure white is your foreground colour. Personally take the 583 and make a big star somewhere and then take the 464 and put little stars around. If you like me chose to make your shadows dark and highlights light then the stars will appear mainly in your shadows.

    And Voila now you may begin to add images and/or text. I have several fonts that are good including subway, beyond wonderland and frankenstein. PM me for a link and/or a tutorial in how to make them look great. With such images you can make: *inserts several pics*

    Thankies for this! I'm going to try it in a while. Pretty backgrounds are the only thing I can't get my head around. ;__;
