I haven't played DW5 but I hear it's a bit more historically correct than 3 and 4 were, which would be nice. 4 was horrible in fact in capturing historical accuracy. And yes, thankfully that has been fixed. Each character now has their own Musou mode which only features battles that they were in...well...mostly (Because characters like Diao Chan obviously didn't do any fighting). Jiang Wei only fights in battles like Jie Ting and Wu Zhang, and Lu Xun in battles like the battle against Guan Yu at Fan Castle, and Yi Ling. Although as Sun Jian you can avoid the ambush of Huang Zu and Liu Biao and go on to fight in latter battles, but in everyone else's story modes, he kicks the bucket.

Diao Chan was in one fight, the Battle of Hu Lao Gate, but i think that is the only one she was inBecause characters like Diao Chan obviously didn't do any fighting
