They totally rock!!! (besides final fantasy of course)
I just recently got DW5 and that Rocks too!!!
I decided to start this forum so i could see how many DW fans as there are FF, and so i could see everyones opinions on the game!
I personally in battle think my favorite character in battel is Ling Tong from DW5 because he is the fastest attacker on the game.
Story wise, Guan Yu, because he gets lots of twists in the story!
My favorite Kindom is Shu, because they do lots of things like ally and lots of cool battles!!!

I'm a big Dynasty Warrior fan yet for some reason my town hasn't get DW5 yet, the video stores or walmart. I can't find it. i'm gonna have to order it over the internet.

finally, another eoffer who played dw 5.Cao Pi has the worst name out of all of them. Cao Pi is prononunced Cow Pee.Lu Bu is way easy in Hu Lao gate.ive killed him tgo many yimes.Hes easier at si shui gate,and Zhao yun pawns all, then I pwn every1 including Zhao Yun

my favorite kingdom is SHU
becasue their logo is the dragon, and they've got the coolest people in my opinion.

I'm more of a Three Kingdoms fan than a Dynasty Warriors fan. But DW is the best 3Kingdoms based series IMO. I still find it hard to get used to the character's "real" names instead of their novel, style names even though I've played since 2 came out and own 3 and 4 and plan to get 5 (I guess it can't be helped if you've read the novel about 50 times xD)
eg: Kongming, Zilong, Xuande, Lord Guan.
Anywho, my favourite character in both the history and the game is Zhou Yu. Poor guy gets pawned by Kongming (argh! Zhuge Liang!). He considered himself a worthy rival of the guy but sadly he didn't even come as close as others (Sima Yi, Jiang Wei, Deng Ai...) and eventually dies because of it. In DW3, he was the best juggler in the game. He was still the best juggler in later games but air combos became less necessary in 4 and 5 (he also lost the advantage of having Fire element since everyone can use any element in 4)

Cao Pi has the worst name out of all of them.

What about Man Chong?
Or Zhang Bao (if you say Zhang Bao with a different accent, it means "to pop a pimple/boil" in Chinese)

I'm currently reading the RotK book thanks to enjoying the DW games. I own DW4 and 5, which I recently got and yesterday I finally finished the last character's (It was Xiahou Yuan for me) Musou mode.

Zhang Jiao, while being sucky at fighting, makes me laugh.

I've played 2 3 and 4. I had to force myself to finish 4. My brother owns the others. I plan on getting rid of 4 now that I've beaten it once. It has the re-play value of a fighting game. Which to me is like... once? The story doesn't change much with each game. And seriously, how much can Koei suck from the 3-kingdoms era? I think they'd do better to make up their own mythos, and make a game about that. It was fascinating being able to decimate hundreds or thousands of soldiers the first time through one of the games. But to me it gets old quite quickly. Kinda sad. If only they knew how to tell a more compelling story. Or maybe its because I already know most of what's going to happen because of all the other games based on that era, including its prequals. There's just nothing there for me. Sorry. The mindless gameplay can be fun though. Which is why I think they should start from scratch on something of their own making.

i don't like them. one game is repititive enought in it's button mashing way. but to make 4 of them (more than thatnif you count tactics and extreme legends) and then you have kessen 3 which was the same and the omniusha will be the same. oh yeah and that samurai one too.

it's just really dull.

i did though like the original psone game. for a while.

I used to own one called Operation:Winback, it wasnt like DW, it was action and stalth with guns, but it was really HARD!! So they have made there own games up, just not with the DW system of fighting
