so am i stuck in limbo still. this is really getting on my tits that noone has bothered to clear this up.
[q]-N- vs. C#9
Winner plays Raistlin
Loser plays radyk05
Sorry Hawkeye[/q]How does this sound?
*back to work*
that i feel is appropiate.... though it leaves me in an odd situation. i will be a semi-finalists having only played one match which i didn't even need to win.
but it suits me.
n won. disappointly and fluke like.
Well, Cloud No.9 may have only played one match to make it in the semifinals, but he was certainly very deserving of being there. And as much as I would have liked to see him kick Raistlin's ass in the finals, I guess I'll have to do it myself.
1st place match: -N- vs. Raistlin
3rd place match: Cloud No.9 vs. radyk05
edit: And on a side note, I am NEVER using pogo.com again. >_<
so rady. ready when you are.
sorry for double posting again.
this competition is coming to it's finalation.
i for one would like to see it repeated in the near future. i think if it become a routine rather than a one off we might see less drop outs as people will feel less compelled to sign up as they can always have a go next time. and for that reason i think that having a yearly competition might be too little. and as long as things are done sensibily i think it could be organised to happen quarterly. and everyone should help out in helping things alone and not just n.
thoughts?
Yes - I do want people who participated / dropped out / others to comment on how this has been run. Thanks for kicking it off, Cloud No.9.
Things to discuss:
- format: Switch to single elimination? The reason I didn't do this is because I wanted everyone to have a chance to play more matches. However, a lot of people dropped out, resulting in a nightmare of byes and whatnots. Single elim would make things a lot easier, but then again, it's dependent on having a 2^n number of people. Or double elimination? I don't even know how that works.
- frequency: I agree that it shouldn't be too often, like C9 stated. Quarterly might be a good frequency, or biannually like the Ciddies and Screen Name tournaments and other such regular events.
- timezones: In the beginning, we had some issues with people being in different time zones (Cbc and C9 come to mind). Perhaps having divisions or brackets with people from the same time zone are in order? And then in the final sets of matches, there would be far less matches to worry about lining up? Or should we just ban every other nation?
- others: Feel free to add.
Annually is plenty, as this took bloody forever.
I like the timezone divisions idea.
Oh, and bring it on, biatch. >=o
how about not a championship but a league?
Yeah, wanted to apologize for the past days Cloud no 9. Anyways, good luck with the rest of the tourny, though I wish I could be in it
Good luck![]()
