Acronym, but it's all good in the hood.

During my heavy CS-playing period, I used "lol" a lot.

The recursive acronym 'ZOMG' is always good to say.

If I was one of those smug idiots who took great pleasure out of grammatical superiority, I would contest that they aren't all acronyms, as acronyms make up new words which you pronounce, instead of saying each letter, for example NATO and SARS, as opposed to the likes of USA and MSN. (These are initialisms)

But I'm not, and I only said it because my EoFF contract requires me to make one intelligent post per year, so brb.

zomg is probably the most popular, used by people to insult the way people who would use that seriously in their internet conversations.

But now it's just another dumb Internet acronym because people use it seriously in their Internet conversations.

Theres no rule to how you should say them. Most people I know at least think of it as a word (albiet a bastardisation of the English language). So Lmao is 'Lumow' and so on.
    Word/s.

Good point, thus people have to jazz it up EVEN MORE.

zomfgwtf is often used now, which I expect will grow into popularity, and then be increased in size again, probably adding stfu and bbq into there somewhere.
