*~Black Rose Immortal~*
Zelda, I think you could've left those "uuuu" parts out since they most likely have no relevance to the lyrics :D
~~~~~~
so anyway..
Opeth - Black Rose Immortal
In the name of desperation
I call your name
A lamentation I sigh
Again and again
Spiritual eclipse
The gateways are closed for me to seek
The night...
A veil of stars, watching
My shadow is born from light
The light of the eye, in darkness
Over troubled waters memories soar
Endlessly, searching night and day
The moonlight caresses a lonely hill
With the calmness of a whisper
I wear a naked soul
A blank face in the streaming water
It is cold in here
Frost scar my coat with dust
Eyes attach to your mute portrait
We spoke only through thoughts
Together we gazed, awaited
Hours brought thirst and the rising sun
Sunbirds leave their dark recesses
Shadows gild the archways
Do not turn your face towards me
Confronting me with my loneliness
You are in a forest unknown
The secret orchard
And your voice is vast and achromatic
But still so precious
Lullaby of the crescent moon took you
Mesmerized, its kaleidoscopic face
Granted you a hollow stare
Another soul within the divine herd
I have kept it
The amaranth symbol
Hidden inside the golden shrine
Until we rejoice in the meadow
Of the end
When we both walk the shadows
It will set ablaze and vanish
Black rose immortal
It is getting dark again
Dusk shuffle across the fields
The evening trees moan as if they knew
At night I always dream of you
A tale of tragic love. A bit cliche, but I think it's expressed quite originally. I love the nature metaphors and symbols here especially.
Marika Matsumoto - Get Happy! (Final Fantasy X vocal collection)
If we tightly pool our strength together
No matter how big the dream
Surely someday, surely someday
That's right, it'll come true
We can be, we can be
Much more happy
If I can walk with my head held high
Even on the gloomy rainy days
I'll now be able to see the sun
From between the distant clouds
That's right, let's seek out fun and excitement every day
While tightly embracing handfuls of hope
Throw away that feeling of wanting to cry a little
If you smile then look, I'm happy again today!
Everyday I'll be cheerful and flourish
With my back fully awash in the sunlight
If you take hold of the feelings overflowing
In your heart and smile then look, I'm happy!
Because my heart throbs sharply
No matter how tiny the love
Surely someday, surely someday
That's right, I'll show you that I'll make it come true
I want to be, I want to be
Much more happy
If you want to have true love
You can't just wait patiently for it
I'll show you that I'll seize hold of it
Whether if it's a miracle or it's fate
That's right, everyday I'll be cheerful and flourish
With my back fully awash in the sunlight
If you take hold of the feelings overflowing
In your heart and smile then look, I'm happy!
Let's seek out fun and excitement every day
While tightly embracing handfuls of hope
Throw away that feeling of wanting to cry a little
If you smile then look, everyone's happy!
A little different song from the previous, it's so spunky and cheery it makes even me like pop songs like this one x) Also the message is pretty good. Always think positive, at least a little :)
Ayreon - Temple of the Cat
Shine down on me, Sun of the Underworld
Set me free, chase away the night
Proud Jaguar, king of the Mayan Gods
Shining star, light up the sky
And guide me to the Temple of the Cat
Heart-of-Sky, Maker and Hurricane
Mighty eye, harvester of life
We were born solely to speak your name
Bring the dawn, we'll praise the sky
Here inside the Temple of the Cat
Upon his throne the High priest addressed the crowd
Now carved in stone his holy name
Beads of jade adorn his cotton shroud
His silvery blade on a golden chain
He lies here in the Temple of the Cat, dead
He will rise again from the Temple of the Cat
Another great song by Arjen Lucassen (the mastermind behind Ayreon), I like the story of this song, aswell as the whole album Universal Migrator part 1: The Dream Sequencer. The story is quite interesting, I suggest reading it if anyone's into science fiction and stuff (both part 1 and 2).
Oh yes and I like Wish You Were Here aswell ;)
Fevered lovers and austere thinkers
Love equally, in their ripe season
Cats powerful and gentle, pride of the house
Like them they feel the cold, like them are sedentary
- Charles Baudelaire I'm listening to...
