The strange internet lingo develop. Various terms such as teh and pwned. I mean its rather silly I think. Whats wrong with just saying The and I beat you *I think Owned is rather silly too* My question is where does all this poor grammer and use of words come from? And ifwhy not. Post all the silly Internet lingo you know.

I think it's from accidently mispelling it... then it sticks because it's fun to day.

yeah i remember seeing "pwned" a lot, especially on the phantasy star online and people use it quite frequently...hah its just the typos people type all teh time.. no waht i maen?
Pwning someone means that you beat them so badly that they are enslaved to you. As in, you own them. Extra emphasis.
Teh is a typo that I enjoy using as it reminds me of a seventh-grade joke I had with two guys in my science class. We would pretend to read like people using hooked on phonics, and "the" was pronounced "teh-heh". Teh, of course, just lacks the heh.
A lot of it these days is just stylistic.
The keyboard has become a tool of mass perversion. Avoid it, use your mind as an input device.

People used owned in real life now. People always used it in my school. They're even using newbie now. I was in Science and some popular tall basketball guy yells out "Haha! What a newbie!" at one of his friends, and now everyone uses it.
