Hmmm....very interesting replies, folks.
It seems to me that people tend to like the badboys more than they like the good guys. Or rather the badboys with a slight tinge of goodness.
I noticed a similar phenomena with the Star Wars series with many folks rootin' for Darth Vader. Same as for Mal, the badboy captain from the Firefly series. Ditto Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry who plays by his own rules.
Actually, even in real life, there seems to be a parallel; the badboy Alpha male gets all the adoration.
Question is, how do we become that 'badboy' without really being bad? ie, how do we become a Sephiroth without all that killin' & hurtin'?![]()
