They're called .gifs
I have one for you.
Everyone loves Dancing Banana.
I think he found that himself.
You can't get 'em here, or at least I think you can't.
How do you people make gif's?? Thats what I wanna know...
You have to use something like Animation Shop. You could get a trial for that on downloads.com. I love Animation Shop, it came with Paint Shop Pro 7 when I bought it. Photoshop also has an animation, Image Ready.Originally Posted by crash26821
Gifs are easy to make :P you just save them to a gif format. Animated Gifs on the other hand I have no idea about. That's what I want to know because I want to be able to make them too
Rye how do you make yours? :P MAKE A TUTORIAL AND WE'LL LOVE YOU!
OMG IMAGE READY CAN MAKE THAT STUFF?? HOW HOW HOW???
I'll figure it out later...
I made a tutorial a while ago for blinkies but for other animated .gifs, I really can't do much besides Puffs (like boris' avatar) and the little Walrus .gifs I made for the BAoTW election and animated icons like...
I find the GIMP is very good at making animated gifs, and for optimising them so their file sizes are small too. You just put each frame of the animation in a different layer, starting with the bottom layer for frame one, then when you choose to save as a gif, tell it to save as an animation rather than flatten the layers. You can also control how it animates from frame to frame e.g. speed by adding certain keywords into the names of each frame.
what's all that compiling stuff?? o_O
Rye, I've used a transparent background for it n stuff but it's still showing the erased pixels (white bits) how do I get rid? :P

Are you using Image Ready? I don't really know how to use Image Ready well, I used it once in school, but if it has it, try to use the optimization wizard and select "Transparent." Sorry.Originally Posted by Lenna
I'm using Photoshop and Animation Shop. I downloaded the full version of Animation shop.
that's how it's turned out ;_;
The transparency is on Photoshop but when I paste it over to Animation Shop it adds those little white px's
I'll figure it out later...
Hmmm... well, in Animation Shop go on optimization wizard, then click Customize then Partial Transparancy then try to put the options like:
I fixed your blinkie for you so that it doesn't have the white parts, it's a nice blinkie.
EDIT: Also, if that happens when you paste them over the Animation Shop, just erase them with the erase tool at one pixel. I have to do that when I paste them from PSP7 to Animation Shop. :o
Ok I don't have that. I must have a really old version of it.. 3.05. It doesn't have that transparency settings it just says "map identical pixels to transparent"
and when I erase them it erases a huge bit ;o
Edit: ok I fixed it. Thanks Rye ;D <3333333333333333

Yay! And no problem.
