Not when "blowjobs" and such were posted. When I found "blowjobs" within the first couple posts, I was immediately turned off by the thread. Sorry. I don't believe that thread should be archived.

If memory serves.. "blowjobs" was posted by Social Moon Fireskies younger brother when she was away. I agree that saying "blowjobs" for no reason is stupid and immature, but it's not like that was the basis of the thread, or like the thread revolved around stuff like that. (Granted, everything posted in there was pointless, but not the point that "blowjobs" was)

I think threads should be archived when they're entertaining to re-read. That wasn't. Sure, maybe it was fun to post in, but in reading it (skimming, whatev) it wasn't really that great.

I would agree. It's not my decision to make, it's the staff member's who decide to archive the thread. And of course, another staff member can remove the thread from archives at any point, so any thread archived is not safe from staying there permanently.

Anyway, MAPS was a good thread. Why? Because those who participated enjoyed it very much. wankers was a good thread. Why? Because those who participated very much. Now, this does not necessarily mean they should be archived, but I will be getting to that. But it does mean you should at least treat the thread with respect.

It may be a good thread, but it's still spam and spam is spam, no matter if it's good or not. Some is acceptable, but when it goes out of hand, it's too much. Of course, that's just my opinion, and I stick to it.

I personally thought a handful of the posts in it were hilarious. It really boils down to the staff's own sense of humor, and I really couldn't care if it's archived or not. I think it's a good policy to somehow involve members in the decision of what threads can get archived. Then again, that could take away from the uniqueness and special feeling of certain threads getting archived. We, as members, are not entitled to choosing what goes in. That's something that would have to be given to us, and I'm not sure we're deserving of it. If every 1/10 threads got archived, the archive would just be full of crap.

Spam threads seem rather trite, by the way. Good spam occurs in the middle of a serious thread, in my opinion. If you can post something senseless in EoEO and get away with it, that's a spam well done. Of course, I don't encourage it (anymore). Of course, this would make "a vey odd poem by auron" not spam, and I don't really see it as spam anyways.

I know I was one of the bigger posters in that thread, and I'm trying hard not to post in this one (I failed) but heres my 2 cents

It was a funny thread. Really good, no, perhaps even great, because it was just funny and fun to post in. Chances like these are rare to come by. More than half the archived threads are done so by the CK and Admins likings, meaning such threads as wankers wont be as appealing to mods. Perhaps we should have a couple about the members likings, and what was great to some. I know that would be a thread that I would go over, those 660 posts, just for the hilariaty of reliving of what bullcrap I put into it. Theres threads in the archives which I didnt think were funny, and some I didnt even understand, and heck, there were threads that were archived that were around since I've been here, and I didnt find them funny. Basically, archived threads are for the Admins liking. I didnt see any admins on for that thread, so they particlarly dont know the point of view we're comming from(and the fact that they have to uphold the law)
