The Viera and Nu Mou totema damage your opponents' MP, not their HP.
So if you're unleashing your totema and not witnessing anybody getting one-hit-killed, it's because of that.
ohh sh*t... and i've been wasting my JP's on them.....
You Never Waste Jp. Viera and Nu Mou totemas are still effective against mages.

none of them are useless. if you unleash mateus, adrammalech and famfrit it will win you nearly any battle and the other two are useful when fighting magic enemys like flans but their just not always as useful as the HP damage ones.
