the thing about life is that we as human all want to live are lives no matter who u are or where u come from every one has a desire to live now some people lose this disire and blow them self up or kill them selfs but nether the less they all started the same way bore with the desire to live but the probleam we as a race have is this no one can agree which is the best way to live are lives so people have wage war over how to live there live thouse resulting in there death but it dosent matter they say because they have through dieing made it possable for there children and there childrens childern to live how there want to but in fact all that dose is cause resent ment because such and such killed his grandfather and so on. not only this but the wars frought for fredom as i like to put it are no were near as scary as the wars fronght for no reason at all. there in lies the most dangeras from of exercising one’s appion because they are as i stated earlyer the people who have lost the desire to live and as such do not hold any compassion or mercy for any one caught up in there litttle acts of what ever they want to call it so as such why dont we as a poeple lstop to think about this and stop bothering each other out how were going to live are lives and start thinking about how we can stop the people who some how have become dicontanted with there live for if we stop that then we can live with out fear and that is the only i can see of uniting the human race not to wage war but to give over to common sense to forget the past for nothing can come from looking back . and look to the future a future were we just live

neways, i think that ppl kill each other is cuz we come from different up-bringings and different backgrounds, let alone where we grow up. this contributes greatly to our opinions on things, and when two ppl have different opinions...well the outcome isn't pleasant.

now, two ppl can get along with seperate opinions, but because imo humans are aggressive by nature, both parties tend to "force" their views or stick by them blindly, ultimately leading to conflicts.

I'm not usually the kind of guy to post this kind of message, but does anyone put any stock in the whole "good vs evil" philosophy? I mean, isn't it minutely possible that some people are just more evil than others? maybe that's just my religion talking, I don't know. I haven't really seen enough proof to say that upbringing or just plain human nature can explain all the bad things that happen in life.

Well, I think all animals do this too a dergee. Rams or monkeys or other animals are territorial and will fight over their females and their hunting/grazing territory, or when they feel threatened. People do the same, but the thing is that we're smart, so instead of being inefficient like a ram (running into the other guy for hours and doing him no injury), we invent guns and nukes and aeroplanes and therefore more people get hurt.

Besides my cynical view of humanity, the reason I do not believe we all can't get along is because we try too hard to see what makes us "special", "different" or "unique". All of these are good things, yet from that point humans go astray. Instead of using there difference as a method to start understanding and caring for each other, they use it as reasons why the others should die. Slowly like-minded people gang up to destroy anything different. What we need to do, all of humanity, is look within and find our differences. With those we can unite throuigh mutual respect. Our difference is not what seperates us, it is our similarities.

I agree - to a certain extent. But not because striving to be "special" or "different" is bad in and of itself, but because any strict comparison to others is stupid and irrelevant. This is because people lack any internal sense of self-worth, and try to define a sense of value through external means.

The first step is respecting ourselves. Respecting others logically follows that. Again, how, exactly, we interact with others is irrelevant.
