Thread: Disc 2

    Default Disc 2

I don't know. This is probably a silly topic, but I've always wondered about why Disc 2 is loose in the jewel case. Is there some special way of puting it in the case, or is it supposed to be loose? Is it Electronic Boutiques's fault? Does the Greatest Hits jewel case have Disc 2 fastened in there with the rest of the discs?

You know I mean really loose, right? In FFVII and a bunch of other older jewel cases, discs fasten into the circulur lip they give you, but they inevitably get loose anyway. But in FFIX, they didn't even give me a lip for my disc 2 so it's always loose or in the PS1/2.

That's why I use a leather CD case with Disc Protectors.

After I buy FF8 and Xenogears again, I think I'll get me one of those, too. But Disc 2 works fine for FFIX for me.

I wasn't really complaining about the design, I was just like, "Why the heck did they design it like that???"

There's nothing wrong with any of my discs.

I own the European version, that means, if the case is broken you can just replace it with a standart CD double x 2 case.

well, it depends. The discs are loose when they are taken out a lot, which makes me think my supposedly "new" $20 Amazon.com-bought copy of FF8 was used, then cleaned, then just repackaged (because there was no sticker thing on top that said "Final Fantasy VIII"). Damn amazon.com *shakes fists in air*!!!
But for my FF9 discs, they were not loose, which (even though there was no sticker on the top) makes me think they just opened it for verification of the product.
