    Default human rights

tony blair yesterday gave a little speech. it was about "preachers of hate" basicly extremists muslims. and that he's gonna ship them all away from britain. you may at first think that that is a breach of human rights. and you would be right. but....... he's gonna change the human rights act.

and that is the problem i have against it. you cannot change the human rights act. the human rights act did not give people rights. it made the government promise to gurantee and protect them. human rights are unalterable and eternal. they do not change with the times. they don't eb and flow. to change an act which gurantees my human rights should not be allowed.

also it is not his act to change. human rights are not dictated by british law it is by the un, eu and other international bodies.

so should at any time human rights be changed?

I apologise for what may seem to be a cheap shot, but here is your best bet for defending Human rights.

Regardless of that, I'm against what Blair said. Free speech is more important that safety. If someone wishes to say terrorism is a good thing, they have that right. It's not until they actually come to solid planning (Eg scouting targets, acquiring resources, getting recruits.) it that crime has been commited.

i think the actual human rights breach comes from the way in which they will be removed from the country as well as what for.

I think it's both this and what I'm my own MILF said.

I'd say that human rights should be set in stone, since any relaxation of these laws, no matter how good the intentions, might lead to trouble later on. Even the laws that Blair is hoping to bring in now are a bad idea. It essentially gives the government the right to deport people without proof of involvement in terrorist activites. As I'm my own MILF has said, condoning terrorism isn't a crime, despicable though it may be. Many of the proposals are sensible precautions, but those which interfere with human rights are a step too far.

Rights are changeable over a certain amout of time and under certain conditions. I don't think it's time to change and what has happened isn't enough to change them also.
