Wow, this thread is discusting...no not the topic, but rather some of the posts in it.

Behold the Void pretty much said what I would of said if he hadn't already said it (and then some). You can talk about the world's problems all day and it won't solve a damn thing. Also you can't expect world hunger to dissapear overnight...Africa has so much damage, I guess you could call it, that's developed from them lagging so far behind the rest of the world in terms of development. I really don't like to think about it...I know that's screwed up of me, but it's just depressing, especially when I turn on the TV and they announce that the new Harry Potter movie or whatever else made some odd hundreds of millions of dollars...we'll spend all that money to sit on our asses for a couple hours of screen staring that may or may not be entertaining, but we won't put that money into things like Africa...sad, it is. But then, I'm doing the same thing, so who am I to bitch at the rest of the world and how cruel and careless they are? Nobody.

Life is sad, and I see little to no hope for fixing Africa's horrors...I think disease and starvation are going to wipe them out really...it sucks, and I know it sounds really pessimistic of me, but I also don't agree with "oh well it can't be helped so who gives a crap lets ignore it". Africa needs to work to help themselves, yes, but I think that's exactly where they need help the most: to start helping themselves.
