There is one, kinda. It's called "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" but it's only loosely based on it (in other words, a bit rubbish as a FF franchise film).

There's no Magic, no Moogles, no Chocobos, no Summons, no Ultima, no Holy, no Jobs, no Swords...
Although I've heard rumors that one of the characters has a small "Chocobo" logo on his t-shirt, although I've not found it myself.
My Cure spell brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like: "It's better than yours."
Damn right, it's better than yours!
I could Heal you, but I have to charge.

VII is the best; it started the trends that basically everyone else copies off of. VI, IX, and X are also very good, even though I didn't like Kefka.

I like Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy Tactics the most.
I believe in the power of humanity.

Actually, a lot of aspects in FFVII were copied from FFVI…

In my opinion 7 cause of the great storyline and that's what makes an rpg good eventually and VII defenetly had the best storyline in the Final Fantasy series.

Yeah, Kefka's pure evil! He made the people die in small numbers one by one, Sephy was just going to wipe out the whole planet at once. Which it seems like he could have done at any time with Super Nova.

Hmm, is that sarcasm or what? Anyway, I was talking about his opinion on kefka. I was questioning why he said "FF VII started trends that everyone copies off of". I have yet to see any of this.

Anyway, kefka did do more then seph. Correct me if im wrong, but Sephiroth really never did anything. It was mostly Jenova that was using a puppet sephiroth to do all that he did. I havent played FFVII in like 4 years so my memory is a bit foggy.

I was under the impression that I'm talking about Final Fantasy.

If you can't see that a lot of RPG-style games attempt to duplicate elements of VII, then quite frankly you're blind. It has by far the largest fanbase out of any Final Fantasy game, and Final Fantasy is the best-known pure RPG in the world. Companies produce what sells; it's a basic principle of capitalism. Regardless of your personal opinion on the game itself, the dollar signs don't lie.

Kefka did far less than Sephiroth. Even if you attribute moral responsibility for Sephiroth's actions to Jenova, he was still the one doing all the work. All Kefka did was move a few statues around. He had the world handed to him on a silver platter. Sephiroth worked hard for it, and came within an inch of success. Kefka, by contrast, never really succeeded, not so long as people were willing to stand up to him. Under Sephiroth's plan, no such course of action would have been possible.

Not only that, Kefka looks like the lost member of what was once the Ambiguously Gay Trio. Sephiroth, on the other hand, is the most beautiful being ever to grace a game console, with the possible exception of Princess Zelda. And honestly, who are you going to be more scared of, some random clown or a guy with a seven-foot long sword and murder in his eyes who can throw cars just by flicking them and has a completely thought-out, working scheme to become a god? Even Kuja was more impressive than Kefka; he made up for his ridiculous looks by nuking the entire surface of a planet under his own power. Kefka's only redeeming quality was that he was incredibly, incredibly funny. I LOLed the entire time whenever he talked.

Clowns are scarier than Bishi samurai.

Ok then please list all of the RPGS that have taken something from FFVII and what it is that they took. And what does how well FFVII have to do with anything that I said?

And you think Kefka did nothing? He actually did more then sephiroth (who I stated earlier, did nothing, it wasnt even him being controlled. It was a clone or something like that). And kefka did MANY evil things. Killed leo, poisoned the people of Doma, betrayed and killed the emperor. Kefka became a god. He had total control over everyone (except the main heros of course, but its like that with everygame). And who (besides the main characters) stood up to kefka? No one. Unlike every other FF villian. Kefka actually succeeded in what he was trying to do.

Anyway, I dont want to get into some pointless arguement over the superior villian in a FF game. What I wanted to know from the beginning is what you were talking about when you said "VII is the best; it started the trends that basically everyone else copies off of."

Please, like I said earlier. Make a list of the games that ripped off FFVII and what it is that they ripped off.

I think to say that tons of games ripped FFVII is inaccurate. Tons of games ripped off of the FF series, but not VII in particular.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.
