ugh, stupid roman names. the romans ripped away the greek names and gave them stupid names, like pluto and mars... the only cool pluto ever was mickey mouses dog, which should have been named hades.

ugh, stupid poeple discovering planets that dont even exist. what more can I say than ugh?

-Apollo, the god of the sun.
    -Bacchus, the god of wine.
-Ceres, the goddess of the earth.
    -Cupid, the god of love.
-Diana, the goddess of the moon and of hunting.
    -Fortuna, the goddess of luck.
    -Janus, the god of doors.
-Juno, the queen of the gods.
    -Maia, the goddess of growth.
    -Minerva, the goddess of wisdom.
-Proserpine, the goddess of the underworld.
    -Quirinus, the god of defense.
-Vesta, the goddess of the hearth.
    -Vulcan, the god of smithing.

Of these, I think Proserpine would be a good name, considering the planet's proximity to Pluto, the god of the underworld.
I hope the tradition is carried on by one of these names, although Ceres isn't an option, since it's already the name of the largest Asteroid in the Asteroid Belt. Prosperine would make a fine name for the new planet. It would be a shame if it were given a dumb name like Xena when so many fine alternatives are available.

And after a few months of jokes about the planet "Vulcan", even the most hardcore Star Trek fans will go "ugh".
Nah, Vulcan is reserved for the planet they think might be between the sun and Mercury.

The planet is named Acheron and anyone who goes there should beware of derelict ships.
