Eeeeehhhhh!"<li>She can't accept that she sucks at synchronizing with her EVA, so she overcompensates by putting down Shinji's performance.<li>As intolerable as Shinji is, she really treats him even worse than he deserves, to the extent of playing with the poor pubescent kid's emotions.<li>She's extremely disturbed as a result of her mother's suicide and takes it out on others, ranting about how she hates everyone. It gets pretty bad. Serious menstrual stuff.<li>She's a lithe, petite fourteen-year-old girl and will not stop trying to get Kaji to get it on with her.</ul>

Kishi summarized it quite nicely. Asuka essentially treats everyone like dirt, and expects them to fawn over her. Her treatment of Rei is especially disgusting, but I do love how much Rei infuriates Asuka by simply failing to respond or be phased by anything Asuka says.

Misato was the only character in the show that I genuinely liked and felt somewhat attached to, which really made (SPOILER)her death in the movie suck. However, Asuka was a really interesting character in End of Evangelion. I loved how she had such a complete mental breakdown but was able to come out of it and totally kick ass for a couple minutes, even if the end result was...unpleasant. She was definitely one of the more interesting characters, despite her bitchy attitude for most of the show.

Misato is so awesome. No one's mentioned Ritsuko, though! Or Hikari or Naoko or Yui... or that one chick who works at NERV and wants to make sweet love to Ritsuko.

I liked Ritsuko at first, but the more I learned about her the more I disliked her. Does anyone know how the hell Gendou ends up with so many hot chicks?
