Anyway, not to get into this argument because I'd rather actually screw a real person than get hot on 14 year old angsty anime girls, Rei has been the most popular anime character to ever hit Japan. Probably because she's so quiet and whatnot, but tons and tons of Ayanami merchandise sold. I believe the title she was dubbed was 'the most popular poster girl ever' or something like that.

Toji Suzuhara = Shinji's classmate who eventually becomes an Eva pilot, and is subsequently beaten into a pulp by dummy-plugged Unit 01 because of the fact that his Eva was an Angel.
Kaji Ryoji = Former boyfriend of Misato, who Asuka wants to sex very badly.
Oh right, I remember now! Toji was like, all mean to Shinji at first cause his sister died cause of Evas fighting or something, but then he ended up being a good guy and being friends with him later...and also envied his housing arrangement with Misato.
Yeah, I liked him alot too...him and Kaji...all the women and Shinji had too much freaking emotional and psycho baggage...not that thatt's a bad thing, I guess.
