Since another option was not added, I voted Soda. Not only because I checked the results, and it was losing (and I've got a tendency to vote for the underdogs etc.), but also, I mean... Soda is a word used purely for soda. Pop is the sound you hear when you pierce a balloon with a pin. Not a drink, a sound. Duh.

I say pop because it is 1 syllable instead of 2. Its just shorter. That is seriously why I say it more. I say soda every now and then but it just doesn't flow as well as pop does in my view.

OK, this is really pretty sad. An intelligent discussion (for instance "who's better, Thief or Black Belt" in the FF1-4 section) only gets about 45-70 replies. But something completely mindless like this (duh, soda or pop?) gets 100! Or more!

Right on! Soda is much better looking to, and Pop sounds too old fashioned. Soda is by the far, the most correct term to use. No where in the dictionary does it say "Pop" is a carbonated soft drink. I'll type up each defination.
