i wasn't saying america was like nazi germany. they are countries which i both don't like. they are similar only in my and others dislike for them.
Then its probably my area..SF is pretty dense after all and alot of new developments lately. In the bay area anyway. West Coast has much more better weather than the East Coast and much more diversification than the East too.Don't be silly. America is one of the least densely populated countries in the West. Britain has 60,000,000+ people living in an area the size of Ohio. And we still have plenty of space for farming and national parks and the like.
Lazie Faire(however you spell it) is a failure to some countries. I havent read every single post during my sleep but i know Soviets tried that, and failed badly leading them to the fall of the Soviet. A free market wasnt what they needed. Hence why china and india and other countries need to slowly adapt the free market under control so it doesnt spin out of control like the soviets and die.
That and all i have to say is..if people have different opinions of America then they have different opinions theres no need to get all riled up. I dont like America's government like Cloud No.9 and very much so like her/him(cant tell). I dont like the government and alot of people that think in the same way, but that does not mean i do not like the guy next to me. That and the only thing this thread has taught me is that when people are anti-american ideals, they get spat at, and that one person is very much so against anything not american -_-
Actually, I find the opposite - I am very pro-American, but I get spat on by everyone around me because it's the chic thing in California to hate America.
Yeah, it's the "in" thing to be a pseudo-hippie socialist in my parts of America(and the developed world, for that matter). Anti-business, anti-industry, anti-money, pro-government regulations, pro-foreign aid(which leads to everybody wanting to help Africa, but those same people being against the war in Iraq, through a mess of contradictions which is beyond my ability to fathom).

Now lets say if Walmart started opening up branches in Europe.Man Walmart would go out of business because the way they do business int eh states with its workers.They can't do in Europe because Europe has a lot of unions that are pretty strong.
Now with that said.The big corporations basicly run the united states. I mean the gov. tries to regulate but everytime someone tries some other ugy objects(being paid tons by the corporations to keep the corporation interest as #1.)

If the workers want to unite and not work there(or the people want to boycott), then that's fine. American companies that can rely on government help think in the here and now because they don't have to think of the future - the government thinks the same way(as shown by the arbitray antitrust laws, the Federal Reserve mess which sparked off the Great Depression, etc.). I have to honestly say i never thought it was a chic thing to hate America if you lived in California...i must be living in a hole if people actually are doing it because its popular...x_x but i never do it because its the popular thing to do, its just something i came up with looking at things myself.
