"We are actually damn peacful people." which explains the high crime and murder rates and this little habit of fighting wars. and that's why the rest of us might be a little intimidated by n aggressive country which shows no pattern to what countries it will invade next. at least in the 40's we knew which ones were next on the list.

america will just not admit the fact that yes it may be the world's only remaining super power but this does not make it god almighty. it is not above the law and does not own this world and hopefully one day this will be shown to it.

The US still has earned more respect from me than any other country, as being the most free. But it's a lot less free than it was 100 years ago.

I like the USA all round. I get the impression theyre attitude is your either with us, or against us. I dont particularly like that but I may well be wrong and I dont think that attitude has effected me in any way if it does exist in the US. The biggest thing that bothers me about the USA is theyre against global warming so I certainly dont have much problem with them. USA-a ok.

The thing about the USA is that its constitution was written to benefit Business.Simply put all these companies ha ve so much freedom and does whatever they want(make money.).Which screws over everyone. This causes for changes in the USA to come more slowly than any other country.

Now lets say if Walmart started opening up branches in Europe.Man Walmart would go out of business because the way they do business int eh states with its workers. They can't do in Europe because Europe has a lot of unions that are pretty strong.

Now with that said. The big corporations basicly run the united states. I mean the gov. tries to regulate but everytime someone tries some other ugy objects(being paid tons by the corporations to keep the corporation interest as #1.)

Thus this ignorance with the citizens which basicly pisses off everyone else into hating americans.Because we let crap happen.America was the last anglo country to get rid of slavery.hmm.

American companies think in the here and now they don't think of the future. Thus the kyoto thing will always be refused until some 30 years +. When they get to there senses when the Japaneese car companies muscle them out.And other foreign companies who knew investing in enviroment friendly things now will benefit everyone and themselves.Which is why GM is in deep .

I live in America and I was born in America, I love my home because it is the only home I have. I do not belive that a country can be 'evil', I don't belive that all americans are evil, people are judge based on others opinions, what may seem wrong to one, may seen good to another. All this 'evil' and 'good' is really jusrt based on the individuals thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. America does have its faults and problems, but what country does not? Just because a man who has been labeled 'president' makes certain choices does not mean he speaks for every last single person in the country, and its very unreasonable to belive that everyone belives the same things as one man. So I believe that no, America is not the 'Bastion of Evil'. This is my opinion, I don't expect anyone to listen to me or take me seriously.
I can't sleep tonight, I'm too busy thinking about you, about us. I really care about you and I'm so terrified that if I told you my true feelings about you that I would scare you away, so I hold my feelings in and I write them down and I hope that one day you'll feel the same way too.

I think America isn't that evil. Sure we have problems you knows. That's human nature though. Every country has problems. I think America has played a large role in the world. Without it what do you tihnk this world would be like? You think Hitler would still be runnin around? You think that our Revolutionary War didn't play a part in lighting hope in the hearts of other rebels in different countries, to rise up and make a new form of government there. (correct me if I'm wrong pls, I have forgotten a lot lol)
Sure we have our bad side too. The big ol' bombs. The only thing that was good that came out of those was Japan givin up. We shouldn't have used those bombs. Sure we may be messed up now, but American's can learn from mistakes. Maybe vote for a better person next time. You really can't say America is evil unless you have been here and other countries. The was in Iraq is a horrilbe thing. Still some good has come out of it. But that won't make up for the killin people. All I'm tryin to say is give America some respect. Not too much. We do have an ego sometimes. Vietnam for example. We got mowed down.

Define freedom. Granted, we had more freedoms like a hundred years ago as far as privacy and taxes, but have we really lost a lot? I mean, I can't think of a single situation in my entire life where I or anyone I know has had a lack of freedom. We can pretty much do whatever we want, whenever we want, and afterwards we can call the President a dickhead and no one does anything to us. And the Freedom of Speach can get ridiculous at times. Hell, we have Nazis doing parades in Jewish communities, and the Government isn't allowed to do to stop it. We can do whatever job we want, go to any school we want, live whatever life we want. So, how exactly aren't we free?

We definitely have problems. Whenever we get scared we ask the Government to come change our underwear, and you end up with things like 'homeland security.' I'll agree with you there. I think it all comes back to bad politics and a corrupt bureaucracy.

Did you completely miss the part where I said it was "less free than it was?"

Also, the European countries tend to be more socialist.

Sorry, but I have to take issue with the condemnation of atomic weaponary. MAD was likely the only thing which kept the Cold War Cold, for one. Secondly, Japan barely surrendered with the two bombs dropped; ground invasion figures were estimated as a million+ at the lowest end of the scale.

America is not evil, or at least, our citizens arent. When you think about it, the only 'Power' our citizens have is to pick who goes into office. And that doesnt always work (because of stupid electoral votes). So dont hate america itself if you must, hate who runs it.
