well i posted in the other thread saying that the esthar airstation had to let the ragnarok through when they contacted squall and rinoa in outer space. So maybe someone fixed the barrier somehow so they could get through but no one changed it back???

But...really to be quite honest it doesn't matter because it's only a game and we don't need to know this. The world will continue to spin no matter what the answer is.
