I'm CONFUSED!!! help??

well yuh.. this is SOOO frustrating.. just bought ffvII second hand.. i got to the first save point, by the directory at garden and when i tried to save it sed 'failed to check memory card'..
what does that mean??
and why won't it save?

Maybe your memory card is bad? Can you save to it with other games? Also, you can click the "edit/delete" link under your post if you need to edit what you posted the first time.

i can save to it with other games. just this game that doesnt save.

is this a ps2 card? it won't work on ps1 games. Or maybe the memory card is full. can you create new files on other games or just overwrite them?

Exactly. If you're using a ps2 card, go and buy a ps1 card. If you want to have more space, load your ps2 without a disc in it and go to the browser and there you can copy save states.

this happenned to me with FF9.you can only save PS1 games on PS1 memory card.
