best characters?
which ff had the best cast of characters from top to bottom? include villions too.
i thought it was ffvii. i actually liked all of the characters in the game, except cait sith. i cant say that about any other ff. it was like nothing id ever seen before when aeris died, because i actually cared. i coulndt say that about any character.

Wait I'll vote... FFIX has about par with FFT.

Even my hatred of celes cannot counteract the coolness that is the characters in ff6.
VIII's characters were my favorite. Followed by X's
Not only were the characters in VI the best, it had the most PCs in any FF to date, so definitely FFVI

i liked ffvi characters a lot too, but their problem was there were just too many of them. it was like they over did it.

I hope you mean Squall and Rinoa, because outside them, there's not much to like. (looks at avatar....) okay... They're not that bad... They're IMO sub-par though. i guess ff7..they're just, each of them is unique and great in their own way, well all except yuffie.

can't help but like ff7's cast because theres the confused mentally unstable hero, a love triangle, a cute but dangerous wild cat (nanaki) and a brill baddie - sephiroth was a pleasure to ass-whoop.
FFVII is my vote since though I hate to say it almost all the characters were unique
Cloud: mentaly confused clone
Aeris: magic
Sephiroth: mentaly unstable and very strong, and evil
Cid: alchoholic
Tifa: big boobs err i mean errr
yuffie: well she's not unique
Quina is great, but FFVI had the best overall cast.
