I would agree that reading "chat speak" is really annoying and is more difficult to read because it doesn't let the eye just flow over the words naturally. There's no need to attack anybody, but it does make me have less respect for the person if they do it constantly and don't try to correct themselves. Just because you learned to type like that when you were 10 and trying to sound cool doesn't mean you still should...

Anyway, I'm not targetting anyone specific, just adding my 2 cents.
