Default Can I safely erase these Abilities?

You know, there are Abilities that work "automatically", by simply learning them,
    like SumMag+10% and the like.
    Can I safely erase them?
I mean, they do no real good anyway, just lying around in the Ability Window,
but do their effects disappear if I erase them?

Actually, ones like Sum Mag +10% do have an effect... For that one, it increases the GF's attack damage by 10%.

But, yes, you can erase them if you like. As long as you don't erase the Refining ones, the Bonus ones, and the Shopping ones, I think you can get items that teach all of the others.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Erase the GF hp+10%. But save first, and if their hp drops below 9999, reset and move on to the next GF. Or you could refine some of the hp+40% items and get rid of several of the hp+ abilities. (there's a 9999 cap that's easy to meet)

You can erase the bonuses after you get everyone levelled to 100. You can erase the str/mag/etc+20% and put in 60% and 80% abilities

Once you've gotten, say Elem-Def-J, and then Elem-Def X 2, then erase the first one, as you won't be needing that one.

Look for GF Abilities like this to erase, as these ones are the most useless, as they basically become obsolete once you've upgraded to the next one.

    Wee, thatīs also possible?
You mean like changing the Dagger with the Mage Masher in FF9,
since the latter has all the stuff from the earlier, but even more (higher Strength & Detect command)?

I always stuck to things like Magic, Draw and Item; those super-common things, as it felt pretty secure.
But now Iīve got even more possibilities, it seems.

    Exactly.

Most definitely. Recover for instance, which I think it an ability learned from Leviathan, allows you to heal a party member to full hp, without using any magic. Likewise, Treatment and Revive are great ones too.

I always use those Abilities, split up between my active chars.
Squall has Revive, Zell uses Recover and Irvine takes care of the Treatment.

I think the male chars were the best, they had the best Limit Breaks.
Iīm all for physical damage, so I always favour pure strength before status ailments of different kinds
(I must admit, though, that I liked the Bad Breath in FF7).

But seriously, sometimes I thought the Abilities (and lots of other stuff) were TOO good.
Think about it; stuff like Defend, Absorb, Call Shop, Haggle, Sell-High and other stuff were almost a little too much.
Not to mention the huge Junction possibilities, and the fact one of the best leveling places happens to be the Training Center...

Physical attacks aren't the be all to end all

Give rinoa maxed magic stats, then auto haste and speed +40/60%(whichever you can get xD) Set her on angel wing with Meltdown, tornado, ultima, flare and meteor and watch her go xD
