    Default rise of the zilart.....

so when I register for rise of the zilart, all it will change is new areas and new jobs? nothing of my game, the missions and quests I've done, the missions and quests that are still available, none of that will get changed? and well, I mean obviously there would be new quests, but I just dont want to miss out on the storyline of the original game.

Yeah, RoZ is just an expansion onto the game. It puts in new areas that you couldn't reach before, new missions and new quests. You can still go through the whole original story, just afterwards you can continue onto new missions.

Same deal with the CoP expansion.

CoP is a bit different in the fact that it doesnt inter connect with your rank or the main story.ITs a seperate story lol.

RoZ is a seperate story too and the missions you complete in RoZ does not affect your nation's rank at all too. Just RoZ also included side missions for every nation and required rank 6 to start, but by the same premise RoZ is seperate from the original FFXI aside from rank 5-6 missions. CoP interlaps with RoZ storywise, but not gameplay-wise.
