Yes, it does say a lot about me. It says that I'm willing to do what it takes, no matter how much the bleeding heart cowards and weak willed victims say it's "wrong" to them. I'm not talking about killing them just to kill them. Punishment should be about either rehabilitation or social service.Originally Posted by Cloud No.9
As it is completely impossible to "cure" a pedophile (define pedophile as 'one who sexually desires children), and it's impossible to guarantee that one who has already actualized that desire (molested a child) will never do it again.... the only sensible thing to do is allow a social service to occur from the punishment itself. Incarceration and/or therapy, it is painfully appearant, neither treats nor discourages the act. It also has no affect what-so-ever on repeat offences.
So, if we come up with something *so terrifying* that they'd do anything within their power to prevent themselves from actually going through with their desire and commit the act in the first place... say, by voluntarily submitting themselves to a controlled surgical castration? And failing that, a nice bullet in the brain is effective and relatively cheap.
Besides, I don't wish horrible death on any man or woman. Humans and (most) animals are deserving of kindness and compassion where possible, and if nothing else mercy. Those... things... child molesters... they're not human... they are a heinous and horrific disease unworthy even of the time necessary to destroy them.
Death of a child molester? I'd take no pleasure in the event, but I wouldn't shead a tear for it, either.
Well, that's not true. My pleasure would be relief that it is gone, and my tears would be for those who had to suffer for it's pleasure.
Oh, and, FYI, I have no particular fondess for mutilating or inflicting pain on anyone or anything. In fact I'm generally a happy pacifist. But I do have a skill with descriptive words, and there is nothing other than unmitigated cruelty that has the possible hope of ever working on these monsters. At least, within the limits of our current knowlege and technology.
