Actually I've seen a guy actually green the morning after drinking way, WAY too much. His face actually had a green tint to it, it was weird. So Shadow might just be a really bad alcoholic, maybe?
Or maybe he's a drag queen on the weekends, and doesn't take off his makeup before he suits up to follow you around.
Perhaps he's wearing a thin veil-like thingy over his face and under his hood? Dunno.
