    Perhaps that is what he was saying. That is what I thought at first as well. Then I thought 'what would personal bias have to do with believing this kind of story?' and that probably forced me to interpret it differently.

    It is true that people tend not to question the credibility of a source if it strengthens their beliefs. I'm just wondering if that applies to this case, because who reading that article was leading a front to ban FFVII or believed that someone was, prior to reading the story?

    What he means is that the people who believed the article was true tend to also believe that President Bush is evil and out to ban all video games ever made. And he also eats babies for lunch.

    Ah, okay. In that context, it makes sense. I haven't paid attention to politics for so long, I forgot that Bush-hating would be a factor in something like this. When I read it, I just see the president's name being used, and don't attach anything to it. When someone biased against Bush sees it, they see red.

    And I suppose that this just demonstrated his point. Funny how that worked out.
