Before she gets caught, you can retreat to the Ragnarok and do whatever the heck you please. After she gets caught you must complete the disc before you can return to the world map, but once on disc 4, you can exit Ultimecia's Castle and explore the worldmap, with the slight change that you can no longer access any of the cities.Originally Posted by ezzarian
