It depends on the things that you look for a character in a game. Do they have goopd voice overs? Do they appear to be the heroi they say they are? Are the weak? Are they emotionally human? Are they able to deal with a lot of things wihtout getting angsty? Are they going through puberty? Are they strong? Do they sound like they are weak? Do they sound like they have knowledge? Are they chisseled? Are they very muscular? Does he have fears?
So really what the different is bewteen gippal and Tidus is that Tidus is stornger and mor chiseled. But Gippal on the other hand plays the part like he should. So naturally I can't say that any of them are 'hot' plus to say 'hot' is to degrade someone...not to my liking. SO I would say Tidus is a better character than Gippal. Because he is Human.
