Why Was FFXI Not Released on the PS2 in UK ?

errrrmmm its Final Fantasy, lotz people would of got it. It was all over magazines, there was so much hype, then they announced that it would be released on the PC, why, there much more FF fans on the Console systems. Do they want UK feel like crap, WE NEVER GET ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yet the game was on PS2 in America
Just another thing that pisses me off, I mean FFT was enough....
I guess SE thought the brits wouldn't find interest in it. Since it isn't as sophisticated as UK tv.

Most people with PS2's who are FF fans would rather play it on a pc than going to the bother of buying the cables to enable there PS2's to function online. Majority FFXI players play on PC and only a minority of the japanese and american players play on there PS2's because it makes playing the game more inconvienient when it comes to entering text. The UK has less FF players than both of the other countries I mentioned and going to the bother of releasing it on PS2 when hardly anyone would play it would be a loss for Square Enix so they did the logical thing and didnt release it. You can still play it on the more popular and easier/better format so quit the whining.
Get the PC version.

I mean I keep trying to find an RPG, but its only in America....And I cant use any ROMS so it sucks, I dont think Americans know how many games werent released..
And if the reason why they arent releasing stuff over here because theres not enough intrest, maybe theres no intrest because theres none of the games are released over here
Thats not Squares or the UK's fault.
Yeah pretty much releasing the PS2 version in the UK a place with less FF players is a bad move since they had more sales on the PC format.
It comes down to money.
Oh and if you use mac lol your lost but I think hold on is square selling a mac version on the net? I dunno lol. man .....lol the mac. I have two PC's one with Windows XP and the other with Linux.
Also a lot of japaneese software companies release more games in japan than any other country..lol.Its there given right to release games thats gonna give them to most sales which = profit. There are more people in the USA than tehre are in the UK. I mean the UK is the size of one of our states for crying out loud.
I dont actually hate my Mac, it rocks for everything except for Games and ROMS, and its alot faster than my Windows XP that I dont own anymore

Yes I have a pretty fair idea as Im european myself and have in the past ranted about Xenosaga and Xenogears not being released here along with Chrono Cross and Trigger. In the end I downloaded a rom of Chrono Trigger and bought Xenosaga I and II on a DVD with all/most of the cutscenes. If you're that bothered then you can (easier than myself I imagine) get your PS2 chipped in a pc world or some place along those lines.

9/10 times we'll get the better RPG's around like Star Ocean 3 and Tales of Symphonia. The both sold fairly well over here and its likely theyll continue selling the series here with each new installment. Theres Baten Kaitos and Shadow Hearts around here. As well as .hack// and Xenosaga II is set for a release here also which will probably start the release of the Xeno series in Europe. Games get released later here? Yeah sure they have to be translated into several languages after all but we often get added features to our games. All in all we dont have it that bad.

I had a chip for my playstation that allowed me to play japaneese games.Maybe theres a mod chip for american games or something.
