Default Getting the best exam score - how?

So, I actually know what I should do in order to boost all things to 100 in that report thingy, but it just seems to fail somehow.
I always finish the Fire Cavern with only seven seconds left (100 p.) and I never talk to anyone of the SeeDs during the exam (another 100 p.).
I always kill more than 80 enemies, I actually count them myself very thoroughly (yet another 100 p.).
I also save the dog while running from the robot, and I never hide anywhere.
Actually, the only thing I always fail at is escaping from the robot in under five minutes, it usually takes about ten minutes or so, but I still seem to get less than 100 p. in two or three categories.
    What´s up with this, anyway?

I don't know how to get 100 on every category as I have never done it. However, you do get an extra 100 points if you kill XATM092 on the bridge. You lose a few points in one category, but pick up ninety or so extra points, so it's worth it.

You'll lose points in the 'getting back to where you're supposed to be in time' category, but I had more fun killing x-atm092. I think I was just about three or four minutes over though.

I got 100 in everything once, but that was because I was able to beat the X-ATM092 very quickly (Squall did 7000-8000 damage with trigger (with punishment)) and battled it only twice (when you have to at first, and on the bridge, where I destroyed it) so I got 100 in everything and 100 bonus, and the maximum SeeD level that can be obtained is 10, so destroying the X-ATM092 just compensates for 100 pts.

Battles with the X-ATM092 can take a lot of time, so train Squall a lot before the exam, and make sure he can do at least 4000 damage so you can run away quickly.

Otherwise, it's worth being a few minutes late to get the 100 pt. bonus.

You actually power him up that early in the game? sheesh.
I think if you don't jump off of the cliff when selphie does, you get more points.

    1 Tonberry Card = 1 Chef's Knife
6 Iron Giant Cards = 2 Star Fragments
    3 Adamantoise/2 X-ATM092 Cards = 1 Turtle Shell
2 Geezard Cards = 8 (well, 10 actually, but you only need 8) Screws.

Add in 1000 Gil, and congratulations you are the proud owner of a Punishment.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Exactly, all you have to do is play a lot and get a lot of cards (those mentioned by Skyblade) and you get the necesary items with Card Mod.

And yes, don't jump after selphie, or you loose a whole bunch of points.

Where do you find those Iron Giant Cards then?
I actually found the Tonberry Card, but I´m having trouble with the Iron Giants ones.

Well, I was planning on using this Punishment on T-AXM092, so I´d like to be sure that you actually *can* challenge her without having to complete the whole exam first.
I don´t seem to be able to challenge her now, I´ve just returned from the Fire Cavern.

I´m playing against this red skirt-lady at the entrance in Balamb Town, and I´ve won like 50 cards from her now,
    I just keep getting more!
However, she doesn´t seem to have the Iron Giant Card.

Has anyone ever gotten an A rank on the test? is it possible?

Jesse1: The highest SeeD rank possible to get from the test is 10 (it's what I got after getting 100 in everything, including bonus). Something weird happened, though: I raised my level to 12 (by passing 2 written tests) and later (after the dance) in the morning of when Selphie wakes you up, my SeeD rank just went up by 15 (up to rank 27) on my way to the main gate (I just got the first pay then).

Peter_18: Have you tried chalanging the people around the dock area of blamb?

You got 100 in everything? How? One of the scores depends on how long it takes you to get to the beach, and killing the X-ATM092 takes a while...
